Bay Harbor Inn

NathanWLB

I noticed the last couple of things I got from CP in the mail, seemed to indicate the Bay Harbor Inn is open during the off season. Is that place open at all during the off season?

I was under the impression that it was currently closed for renovation. Not sure for how long.

Yes, the Bay Harbor Inn is closed for extensive renovation.

When I called in mid-January, I was told that they would be closed for about 60 days.

good to know it's open all year, as i am considering giving them my resume when we are out there this year..i wonder if they need chefs? or are they part of CP itself? that would mean applying through CP instead....either way, i love the place...nice view of the lake..walk outside and there's the park..aaaahhhh a coaster lovin' chef's heaven.

Word has it that the interior is going to look a lot more like the Breakwater Cafe. Tiered seating to take advantage of the Marina view. Lighter colors, etc. I always thought Breakwater looked nicer even though the food at Bay Harbor is top notch.

Can you believe I've never been in there!!! ( I guess due to the old dress code; we never have formal wear with us when we're out there...) A description or pictures of the old decor would be nice.
Thanks,

The old decor was kind of nautical. Dark wood trim around the dining room, with a wooden representation of a sailing ship, complete with ship's wheel, towards the back of the room. I thought it was very nice, I hope the new decor still has some of that nautical look to it.

Hey DaveTKoch,
BHI dress code during the operating season is casual wear, no swimsuits, cutoffs, but shorts are allowed. We have a number of adult days at CP during the season and always end the night with a GREAT meal. You should try it it is wonderful.

Thanks alot Tim. I was always under the impression that dress code was formal year round. Well, it looks like my family and friends will be trying out a "new" restaurant this year.
