There used to be a Starlight ticket that was good for I think after 4 p.m. and now I don't see it on their website. Did they do away with it?

It’s still available but it’s only a couple bucks cheaper than an all day ticket online. They offer them cheaper with resort packages.

I think the park is shifting direction to encourage people to stay at CP for at least a full day and take advantage of the peninsula's other offerings. Therefore, they don't want to advertise the option of "come here for a few hours and leave" anymore.

I understand the idea of this, but they have implemented this across the chain too. I went to MIA and you had to pay full price all day and that park doesn't even have a resort.

You can still buy them at the gate. They just don't have them listed. We had several friends purchase them last summer when they were visiting. I don't recall the price.

Last year resort guests could purchase Starlight tickets for $29.95....

They are a great deal for resort guests. We just booked a package that include free Starlight tickets because we are staying more than two nights.... I believe that deal is over. It's the best way to experience the Resort... we normally check in early, enjoy beach and pool, clean up, go to park after 4, come back after closing, do the hot tub, go to sleep.

Then the following day is a park day....
