Im not a moderator but the topic was closed because...A)The subject has been talked about hundreds of times and B) Use the search feature. Its that easy. Expect the topic to be closed... or deleted.

Done that thank you very much..it only brought up 3 topics not to simmiallar..and i dont have the time to read every topic..to see if it was mentioned under another one...and i go back to my first point..it could of been closed with a reason..not totally deleted off..sorry i have some life and cant go read everything everyday! I mean geesh..I seen about 4 topics on the web cam..so far this week..dont see them disapearing...We have to keep making topics on the movement of the webcam??

I'm with ya Darla. Heaven forbid somebody not know the posting rules on this site because if they don't they will be ridiculed and without actually typing it, calling the person an idiot. There are two ways to inform someone about various features on this site, the polite way and the rude way. A number of people really should try and use the polite way and they won't look such the fool.
These useless topics appear all the time. People upset about their topics being closed just creates more noise to the site, if you want an answer e-mail a moderator. It seems like there is an identical topic once a week.

I view things from 3rd person a lot here, mainly because I don't visit The Point too often, but people seem to be awfully hostile around here. Redundant questions probably get to a certain absurd point, but are taken so seriously. Lets relax! :)

Everyone keeps saying IM mad cause the topic was closed...THATS NOT THE CASE...THE TOPIC WAS TOTALLY TAKEN OFF..AS IN DISAPPEARED...GONE..POOF! I understand if the topic gets closed...then at least you know why...but my question was why it just totally removed...disappeard...poofed off..yanked away..etc etc etc..and yes I emailed to find out why it totally got removed..

Although this type of thread has been popping up a lot recently (and I recommend e-mailing a moderator directly to resolve your problem), I will comment.
Looking at it from both sides, yes, occasionally we will get some hostility around here, but that is just because we constantly get threads asking the same question, such as "how will the crowds be on (insert date here)", and a lot of us are here for quality CP discussion. And usually, people are glad to help out a newbie with a question, but when it is a question that would require powers that only Miss Cleo and the Lemon Chill Guy possess, there is just nothing that they can do. And because they come up so much, these topics get really annoying. Now I realize that sometimes there are some remarks made that perhaps shouldn't have been, and it's too bad. I can see why it would be disappointing to a newbie who just had their question made fun of then closed or deleted. Even longtime members sometimes make mistakes by posting a topic that has consistently been talked about, but I just hope they can see why.
That is all... I just hope I haven't fueled the fire...

Not to beat a dead horse, but maybe a FAQ for GTTP similar to that of coasterbuzz? ( http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forums/faq.asp ) I've been here for a good 2 or 3 years, and it really seems to be getting worse, people complaining about deleted posts, that is.
Just my 2 cents.
