Could use some help

I'm planning my first ever trip to The Point. I'm very excited, but I want to make the most of my 7.5 hour drive. I hope to go this August, but I'm looking for the best time to go. I know that none of you have a magic 8-ball, but you have a lot more experience than I. I figured weekdays are better, but is the beginning of the month any worse than the end? Any opinions, tips, or help would be GREATLY apprecicated.

Many school districts begin the 2001-2002 calendar year during the week of August 27.

The parks will be less crowded when the kids are in school.

DBCahill is right...if at all possible schedule your trip for the last week of August...see CP site for park hours end of August, You want the week right before Labor Day...I am planning an Adult only day at the park for myself and a few others, we will be able to ride all the coasters in a short period of time during that week. Good luck to and enjoy the trip:)

We always do a day trip the last week of August because the park is so empty and we live 3 hours away. It was a little more crowded (but still a light crowd)last year than in years past, but MF was new.

There really isn't any strategy, ride what you want because it will be EMPTY. The only problem with it being empty is that some coasters may run fewer trains, but the word "wait" will not be in your vocabulary that week.
