I dont know how many of you like these flats, but I personally love them and would really like to see one at CP. I think it would be a nice addition to their flat lineup.

Love the Whip, great classic ride.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,

I agree. Great classic ride that wouldn't take up too much room if added.

They did have an old Whip at Americana (before Mr Couch closed the park) It was a blast...and was great that Mom, Dad, big kids, little kids could all ride.

It was a nice 'family-fun ride', all age ride.

Whips are an absolute must at any park that has one, for me.

I always wear the one out at Kennywood when we visit, but we havent been there in a few years. I have to make my CP trips and usually dont have time to squeeze KW in anymore.

When a problem comes along, you must whip it!

Before the cream sets out too long, you must whip it!

Isn't there a mini whip in Kiddie Kingdom, Kiddieland, whatever the hell it is called?

There is a mini Whip in The kids area....its the Peanuts 500 (had to look up the name)

Its styled as mini race cars with Peppermint Patty holding the checkered flag.

Yes, Peanuts 500 is in Camp Snoopy (across from the Gemini). There is also one in Kiddie Kingdom (near the entrance of the arcade) The name of the one in Kiddie Kingdom is Roto Whip. I'm still saying there would be room to have an adult size whip. Maybe near the Blue Streak where Calypso / Turnpike cars used to be?

I think it sounds like a great idea. The issue might be that are only a couple of these left operating (some of you on here may have a better idea on this). Maybe they dug one up on the European trip to find old rides?

I didn't realize The Whip was an "adult" ride other than the ones in Kiddie Kingdom and Camp Snoopy. I really love Peanuts 500 and basically make my niece ride it every time so I can be the one to go on it with her lol. She really enjoys the RotoWhip too, and I always thought I would like it also (if I had been able to ride it).

I do not know about a world view, but offhand, I know of six whips here in Pennsylvania. Regular family ones at Dorney Park, Knoebels, Hershey Park, and Kenneywood. Additionally Knoebels has a kiddie one with a fifty-four inch maximum, and Dorney Park has a Peanuts 500. Although it is always nice to see parks rescue old rides, this is a ride that could be built in house easily.

There are 2 more in PA. Dutch Wonderland also has a kiddie version that used to be at Hersheypark up until the early 2000's. Idlewild has a full size version.

Dutchman's post has a link with 2 videos of "Mega Whirl". The Promotional Video makes it look like a fun ride with sudden turns & decent speed. The Public Debut Video has it operating at a speed that appears very slow, the ride would be boring. A ride like that would be a great addition to CP, who cares where it is located as it is quite small. There isn't too many "Family" rides in Frontier Town, maybe they could utilize some space there.
