Slingshot ride

I'm headed to CP tomorrow and Slingshot is on my list! Does anyone know how long of a wait Slingshot is during different times of the day?

When's the best time for me to ride?

Not sure on the wait but in case you were not aware, it is an up charge attract ($25).

yeah I knew, that's why I asked, wouldn't really want to pay 25 dollars AND wait in a long line.

There didn't appear to be any wait whatsoever when I went yesterday. But that was on a weekday with a relatively light crowd; I'm not sure about weekends. I would imagine the wait would be quite short due to the price.

When I was there on Wednesday there were people in line but they were mostly all from one group of Amish thrill seekers.

Earlier this season, if there was a wait, they would write your names down on a certain time and just tell you to come back at the time that you signed up for, so you could go ride other things.

We run on a reservation system, so generally, the line will be under ten minutes.

Hey MillenniumSpork...

I'm the weird guy that's ridden it 12 times with my mom...

My friends either don't like roller coasters or are working when I'm off...

I don't know if you're involved in ride operations or just supervise. I thought I'd say something just in case. :)

I'm 99% certain I know who you are... :) Hi! I'm the location supervisor, so I do a mix of ride operating and supervising. If I am working, generally for the most part I'm at Slingshot and not at SkyScraper. I'm Ashley.

Well, Ashley, I wasn't able to ride Slingshot due to the winds :(

I actually was thinking about that today :( I hope you at least had an awesome visit to the park!

Hey Ashley! I think I know who you are as well. :-)

I love the Slightshot. It's absolutely the best ride in the park. For those of you on PointBuzz that haven't tried it, the $25 is well spent.

I've ridden the one a Kings Island as well. It's not nearly as good ad the one at CP. Not only is CP's higher, but the lack of a cage makes it way more awesome!

I'm really hoping the price comes down next year. It looks awesome, but I couldn't justify the 50 bones to ride.

I've been there a couple weather-crappy days (i.e. really slow), yet I haven't seen Slingshot drop its prices from $25, and it stood, unused for great lengths of time. Visiting KI earlier on an equally weather-crappy day, Slingshot and Ripcord were both dropped to a mere $5 to drum up business. They even had specific signage with the discounted prices (it kept dropping throughout the day actually). Is CP just simply not doing that?
