Complaint about Ripcord staff

I normally don't like to complain about the park in a public forum like this but I what happened last night really made me mad. The park closed at 8pm, and as everone knows Challenge Park is open until 9pm, exactly one hour after the park closes. I was sitting in the parking lot when two friends came by who have never ridden Ripcord before and one of them wanted to ride. I told her I was up for a ride and ran over to the reservation desk. Now keep in mind there was one group getting off the ride and one group getting ready to fly. THAT WAS IT!

I walked up to the desk and the lady said that they were booked, I looked at her and made a comment on how it was going to be my friend's first time ever, and she got really mean and snippy with me and said, "I just said told you we are booked." Now keep in mind it is 8:40 and there is 20 more minutes with one group left to fly.

I stormed back to the RV with the bad news and everyone was pissed. We sat in the parking lot until 9:05 and watched everyone stand around and slowly close the ride. I guess either the park didn't want my money (its CP why would they turn away my money) or the people at Ripcord are lazy and wanted to blow people off for the last 20 minutes of the day or I am just missing something here.

I was just really upset its not that I won't be back to ride it again. It was just a rare time to ride with a friend who has never ridden it before, and to see them close and not take any more riders really made me mad, they had plenty of time to let my friend and I fly and still have time to close early and get ready to go to Louis.

You should have just said you were MagnumDan and that it would be a big mistake for them to turn you down...:)

I hate it when people do that though, I know a lot of people who act like that (maybe BD's school nurse...) and it's not very cool. I hope you can get your friend back for another go and make sure they get on.

Dan... I would be livid. We did that last year and had no problems though. It was at about 10:50 in June and we walked ride on w/ another group right behind us. I guess it all depends on the crew and whether they want to be lazy or not.

I rode Ripcord my first and only time on closing day last year. The crew that got a friend of mine and myself into the little suit thing were very rude to us because we didn't really understand how to get into it. I found it unusual to find any rude employees in the park. I don't know, maybe Ripcord is a stressful ride or something and a guest that doesn't understand simple directions should be (as said in Tommy Boy, which most of us know happened to take place in Sandusky. Ohh, what a coincidence.) hit over the head with a tack hammer because he/she is a retard.

Perhaps the ripcord staff is just merely jealous of "Magnum Dan's" status....being that he is now famous having been on national television. Maybe the staff feared he would attempt to dominate Ripcord,,,and then be known as "Magnum Dan the Ripcord Man" or something...Of course maybe the staff themselves are retarded.
