I usually try to avoid Saturdays, but it sounds like they are giving away some pretty cool stuff. What do you think the crowds will be like this Saturday for this event and do you think it is worth it?

The park will be busy. I doubt it will much busier than any other Saturday in June. I know we tend to avoid Saturdays unless we stop by the marina to eat, then we usually go in for a while.

We are planning to go on Saturday to take in the festivities on the morning then head over to Bubbles in the afternoon if its nice.

I'm wondering if they're giving away Blue Streak shirts will they start selling any in the gift shops already? They never sell anything Blue Streak. I've been wanting one and of course this is all happening on a Saturday when I just really can't go.

It's going to be a normal Saturday crowd- Aside from us coaster geeks, and the 2 dudes singing "Happy Birthday Blue Streak", on Blue Streak today. I hope to get there this weekend, I'd love to get one of the pins.

I figure the pins will go fast, since it's only 500 pins given away to the riders exiting after 11 on those rides. Brings us back to the ride capacity topic...

Yeah, crazy "August" crowded today. 1 hr waits for most of the coasters except Magnum and Gemini. Parking back by Sec.43 (main entrance & Chaussee). We left at 5pm.
At 9:30 the main entrance plaza was too full so the park let people inside (up until Raptor's entrance) and held them back. At 9:30 am it seemed as though there were already 500 Platinum Pass holders in line for the Blue Streak freebies (the line eventually was past Cedar Downs).
Did get some nice pics and saw the utility (construction?) markings behind Midway Market,by the Point Pavilion and Raptor restrooms.
Slingshot looking close to being done.
BTW, Exterior of Breakers looking very spiffy.
Check out the Lusty Lil Show (alot better than last year's Summer Daze) and Bluegrass Band in Frontiertown, not bad!
Sorry to sound "trip reporty(?)", haha.
