Signups for Disaster Transport 80

The official date is June 26th. We will try to ride the greatest dark ride at the Point 80 times through the day.

The people who have signed up already are Me (John), Dave C., Kally, and Mikey.

You guys might want to think this through...

Yesterday, a half hour before closing, we waited a little over 15 minutes for DT. This was a Wednesday in May, mind you. That did not include ride time and dispatch time, also taking into account bathroom breaks, eating, and walking around...

Hmm...Woodstock Express 100...sounds catchy...maybe next year. Good luck you guys on the DT 80. Sounds tough. Much tougher than our Gemini 100. DT has a long queue you have to run through. It's got to be somewhere around 3 or 4 times longer than the Gemini's. And when it all comes down to it, it won't be riding the ride that makes it challenging. It'll be enduring all that walking/running/sitting/standing over and over and over that will be the hardest. But at least you'll be doing it in style with the air conditioning and all. Good luck!

It will be fun, but richie made a good point. The wait for DT is nothing like the wait for Gemini, not only in terms of wait time but also queue length. It will be a lot tougher to get 80 on DT than to get 100 on Gemini. But we will just have to wait and see...

The point of this "Challenge" as Mikey commented is to have fun. We're not out to break world records, we're not there for fame, we're going because we like the ride and we're a little weird in the head.
