Just logged on to Cedarpoint.com tonight and saw the new animated logo at the top of the screen. For those who haven't seen it yet, the sky is dark at night and blue during the daytime [edited this post the next day] with an animated picture of Millennium Force going up the lift and then down the first hill. Also, the lighting theme is presented on the first hill as well during the nighttime hours.

Wow, that is really cool! As much as I like the skyline of the park, the picture they had wasn't the greatest quality. I hope they change it on all of the pages and not just the main page.

Try holding down either the Control or Shift button (I forget which one is correct) while clicking on the reload or refresh button. This forces your browser to reload or refresh the page from scratch.

The header is neat but to be honest, I think the CP site is kinda lame. There is sooooo much they could do. Can you say web cams through out the park?
This definitely is a nice touch! I agree, though, that the site could use some work to make it more interesting. Web cams for sure, as well as some updated pictures/information about the rides and the park. It has become quite stale. I also find it to be extremely S-L-O-W, even with a high speed connection.
But the kool thing is, when its dark, that whole view of the point is dark. When its day, the whole thing is day. Also at night, look for the yellow train. In the day, its the red one

What makes the whole animation thing even cooler is that during the day the picture is light and during the night the picture is dark. Also there is a different color train during the day than at night.
putergeek, Cedar Point's website lame??? I take it that you have yet to been to the Six Flags' website... Cedar Point has won many awards for it website. Cedar Point has tried having a web cam.

...or Paramounts' sites for that matter. Cedar Point has the best out there. Filled with frequent updates and changes. The other parks' sites are rarely ever updated.
When I look at it closer, all the big rides look cartoony--more so than they used to. Look at MF, Mantis, Raptor, Blue Streak, Demon Drop, Power Tower, the Giant Wheel and Space Spiral...They didn't use to be that bright. You can really tell by looking at Blue Streak and Raptor. I think they all might be animated soon.
I don't know if they'll be animated - it just looks like someone created the graphic themselves: it isn't a photo. I could do it, if I'd thought of it! Hmmm. Maybe I will...
By the way, no one has mentioned this, but did you know they have a version for night and for day? I usually only go to the site late, so I hadn't seen the daytime one. Too cute!

Wow, that's so adorable! That's probably the best word for it...it's cartoony and cute. Couple years ago it would have not been too fitting but with Peanuts around now it seems charming :-) As long as there's no annoying Flash animation like SF.com, I'll be happy.
