Looks like TTD has shut down for the day. Anybody know what the deal is? It's been a rough start to the season for the ride. Planning another trip in a few days, hope they get the bugs out.

While I don't now specifically, it is likely a weather issue. The winds haven't been exactly cooperative so far this season. Wind seeker also hasn't been running much because of this.

I don't think it was the weather. It was running around noon and throughout the day I saw maintenance crawling all over it. Never seemed to open up again. I'm here till Friday, hopefully it wasn't a major problem.

Hope the warranty isn't up on it after 10 years. Haven't seen them completely transfer the trains off the track in the middle of the day in a really long time. Probably waiting on a part to get shipped.

What is wrong? It is an Intamin!

Seriously though, word is that over the years, Cedar Point actually has improved the reliability of that ride.

Last year, Dragster was running so good! Maybe it's just too early in the season for it right now.

If it's not going to run, I'm going to need a raincheck. I'm so disappointed that my favorite ride is down for weather ^_^

When we were there on Monday and Tuesday it shut down multiple times. This is the explanation we received from the ride op at the time. If you look at the weather radar and if it says there will be a 14 mph wind the ride will more than likely be shut down. The sensor at the top is very sensitive and gives a warning at 25 mph, and will prevent a launch at 35 mph. The wind has to be under 25 mph for 10 consecutive minutes for them to start running the ride again. Its all about safety, if the wind is too high rollbacks or a valley at the top can occur. And also the wind can cause bad affects toward the cars and the bodies of the passengers in them. They have a radar station inside the operator booth so thats where all the information comes from.

I rode it around noon yesterday and a train didnt launch after my ride for quite sometime. It was running today but went down, luckily i just waited at the entrance of the line and it opened right away, got on in a few trains and then it appeared it went down again after. Guess i just break it :p. Later on in the day yesterday it was quite windy so i believe that is why it wasnt open later.
