New Singer in Luminosity?

So I was watching videos online of the Luminosity show and there is an African American lady singing one of the main parts, but when I watched the show 2 days at Cedar Point she wasn't there. Did they change singers or is there two different casts?

We saw the african-american lady watching from the crowd Tuesday. I would imagine they will rotate singers in and out. Gotta give the voice a break in a show that looks like it will run every night all summer long.

If the show runs 7 days, I gotta think there are more than four singers. Which is good, because the white dude I saw the other night is not good. Conversely, one of the women is outright amazing.

Yes they have swing crews for both performers and technicians.

Some of the performers are also in the Peanuts Party in the Plaza show which takes place at 5.

I have to take back the comment about the dude. Maybe he had a bad night the first time I saw the show, because last night, he nailed it.

^And that is the thing with having live singers. They can have a bad night, no matter how good they might be the other 5 days of the week.

I don't agree, but whatever.

^^You don't agree that someone who sings for a living can have a bad night? Do you really think their voice is 100% all of the time?

^I don't think that constitutes a groupie. Because I have already seen it multiple times too.

I think they're professionals doing live performance. The person who sees you perform once doesn't give a crap if you're having a bad day.

I understand the one day visitor to the park doesn't care if the singer is having a bad day voice wise, but to hear them once when they are off and assume they must suck 100% of the time is stupid, especially in a park that typically has good performers. Now if every singer around them also sucks, then by all means assume they suck all of the time.

I've been told that each of the singers in the show have an understudy, and that they all have 1 night off a week. Also, as others have mentioned, it seems as if the shows rotate performers this year.

No one said anything about sucking 100% of the time, so stop making "stupid" extrapolations about what you think I said. Professionals get paid to not suck. It's their job. You aren't going to get charity points from me if you can't measure up. It's the difference between working Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom and playing the county fair talent show.

But they can still suck and giving them once chance, in my opinion, isn't cool. If that was the case, I would never have gone back to see 'Beauty and the Beast' at Hollywood Studios. You said the guy you saw was not good but in the end you gave him his props. I was simply saying that live singers can have an off night and seeing them once does not represent the entire run that they will do.

Beauty and the Beast at DHS is the most awful piece of crap in Disney live show history. Not only do they phone it in, they do so poorly. It's a steaming pile of garbage.

Couldn't agree more Jeff. For one of their signature titles the show is absolutely horrible. Of course, it is also competing against some incredible shows that have come out since such as the aforementioned Finding Nemo.
