Cedar Point Doesn't Sell Balloons?

So this is a little random but I just noticed that I never see people with balloons or anywhere that sells balloons in the park. You are probably thinking, who on earth would want to carry a balloon around CP all day. But is there a reason they don't sell balloons other than just because they might not be a hot selling item? The only other thing i can really think of would be because if someone were to lose the balloon, it could get in the way of the ride maybe?

You answered your own question. Could you see a balloon flying into a coaster train going 60 miles an hour?

Well there are plenty of balloons at Disney but most of their rides are indoors. Especially the coasters.

Who would pay what they would charge for a balloon anyways? ;). More money that could be put towards a Fast Lane wristband! :)

We were going through old pictures of me for my graduation party last month and we found a picture of my first trip to Kings Island at the age of three. I had a balloon in hand running up to Yogi Bear. I think at that time, KI gave them out to little kids for free.

There was a time when they did, but like has what has been suggested, the combination of slumping sales and the potential hazard of a loose one gumming up the works on a coaster ended the sales.

I would actually encourage that we not recklessly squander our quickly depleting supply of helium.

I hope the helium shortage gets fixed...I don't know if I can live in a world without funny voices!

...Or in a world with sad children, dragging balloons on the ground behind them... ;)

This thread is funny though. I never thought about this, but balloons do kind of go hand-in-hand with fun & amusement parks...maybe more so carnivals. But, you always seem to see plenty of balloons in the media when there is a cliche roller coaster / ferris wheel / happy scene.

You would think the odds of a stray balloon hitting a moving coaster train would be smaller than an intentionally thrown basketball but CP and other parks don't seem to have any concerns giving/selling stuff that could be projectiles.

The only amusement parks I've ever seen balloons sold at are the ones I used to create on Roller Coaster Tycoon.
