What does cedarpoint do with all the change??

My question is this, what does cedarpoint do with all the change that people drop/lose on the rides, especially demon drop. This also includes all the change found in the fountains.
They probobly donate it to a charity
It is donated to the Sandusky City Schools. Previous funds from Cedar Point have allowed the purchase of new computer systems.

They donate it to many different charities and funds. When the season is over, the money is totaled and checks are written. I think there are about 15 different charities/funds that the money goes to but I have heard rumors of about 30 different charities/funds that the money goes to.

I would say that a good 75% of that money is from the water ball alone.

mf laps = 100! No More No Less!!
How much money do you think they get each year? Roughly, of course.

The money isn't donated just to the schools - there are different charites involved. A lot of it is from the waterball, Snake River Falls, Demon Drop, and money found beneath other rides or by the sweeps on the midway. Every ride location has a bucket that the change is put in, and that is taken to the Park Op office each night to be turned in.

I never knew that all those quarters and dimes I've lost on DD went to help fellow students (even though at a differnt school district).

We bought a lifetime supply of pudding? How wasted were we last night?!
*Dude, Where's my car?*
I thought a couple of years ago some charity in Canada got some of the money. It was in the news!
-I seem to remember a post just like this last offseason.

Beware the duckbilled platypus!
I'm glad to know that the change I throw in the fountain is going to a charity or the schools.

Its nice to see that cedarpoint has such a big heart.

Wow cedar point officals are really cool. I now feel a little better knowing that the few bucks in change I lost are going to schools and charritys.
I wonder If they would keep the change how much money that would bring them.
They're probably stockpiling the change so they have enough coins to give out when Sandusky starts charging a parking tax :)

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
I thought all that change was going to pay for the new 400 foot sequel to the Gemini that they're building next year. Oh well, wishful thinking I guess...

That demon drop's been holding out on me...I wanted change for a $5!!!
i think they should start giving the money to the Cleveland City Schools. They need it.
