I've never been on the down side of PT. Will I like it? This kind of goes with the Ripcord entry I made.

It's superb! You get a wonderful view, and 7 seconds of nice anticipation before a very smooth drop/bounce. Enjoy!

I've rode the up side, but not the down. I'm assuming it's a different feel than Demon Drop. Can anyone confirm this?

The first time I went on the Power Tower down side I my face turned all white because i was terrified. But right after they dropped us I could only scream I love this ride! :)

Demon Drop is an earthquake in comparison - I find Power Tower to be incredibly smooth (almost relaxing, however odd that sounds! :)), and the OTSRs are much more comfortable than those on Demon Drop. Plus, they don't jam into your stomach!

Plus its not a freefall like Demon Drop, you get shot down.

I hate down, until we finally get let go. The anticipation kills me at the top. CrystalKat says 7 seconds of just sitting up there which may be right. I count so fast I get to around 20. Whatever you do DON'T LOOK DOWN!

Speaking as a former PT ride host, trust me, you're gonna love my baby. Take a ride after dark for me!

Looking down is half the fun! I like to see just how small people are from 240' up, it's pretty cool, then the drop is totally amazing...you have to try it. I know some people don't like it but it's by far my favorite side. Also, as a little advice, check out which side of the tower you'll be on when they tell you what numbered dot to stand on, if it's a place you don't want to go then switch with someone else, I've had good luck with that....seeing MF from there is cool too!

Going "down" and night it incredible. You get to see the midway lit up in all its glory. You also get a nice gentle seabreeze. It's much less intimidating than during the day because it's much more relaxing.

Chris, I wanted to be able to look at MF from Power Tower so bad last year, but I never seemed to get on the right dot. I hope I'll be able to this year.

I've never done the shot, only the drop. I have to say I hated it until we dropped. I (get this) am scared to death of heights, so the ride up just had me holding on for dear life. However, the drop was awesome. The only other drop ride I've been on was DZ at PKI, and I liked PT better. Next is to try the shot side.

I prefer getting shot up to down. To me the down doesn't feel THAT different than a normal freefall. The shot UP is way cool, though...

Both sides are a lot of fun, though, and I'll hop on both when the line's short.

My philosophy has always been, The bigger, the better. But when I got off the Power Tower drop, my hands were actually shaking. I didn't even have that reaction after jumping out of a plane from 13,500 feet. If you like to be scared, this is the ride.

The drop side is the best! Although I've never did get to see MF from PT!(maybe this year!) The shot side is also really good, considering I've been on Dr.Dooms Fearfall! Which totally sucked because it was wayyyy to short, but the view of Orlando at night was nice!

Power Tower down is one heck of a rush!! If you have ever been leery to get on a coaster..ride power tower down..and you can get on any coaster out there!! The weird part about power tower down is it really takes your breath away..to me it was like a 2 second drowning feeling..ya couldnt breath! But OMG what a rush! Id have to say its one of the best rushes out there..but ill have to ride X-flight before i make that my final answer! The power tower up..to me..wasnt as thrilling as the drop. But to each his own..try both and make your own conclusions.

Ohh... I love Power Tower. The drop side is excellent, it pulls you down, with a nice wait at the top so you can look around at all the other fun devices. I wish it went a little farther down before you "bounced", though. But even though I REAALLLYYY like the drop side, I prefer the up side. You can go DOWN fast on nearly any major ride at a park - coasters, freefalls, other S&S drops - but there aren't many rides where you go UP really fast. It feels reaal nice when you shoot up and get pressed down in your seat, and you get a nice freefall on the way down.

I've been on 3 Power Towers, only two of which were actually called Power Tower. VF's is nice, and the one down at that Texas Six Flags (I forget which one) is bad. But CP's is GREAT. Perhaps it's because it was the first one I rode, or maybe it's because it's taller. It just seems like you go up higher and faster and fall down longer and quicker on the CP Tower.

I can think of no good way to end this post. Bye.

My friend Scott and I timed how long you stay up there, on both of our watches and a stopwatch. You sit up there for 13 seconds. I like up better though.

While the anticipation is pretty good, I think the actual feeling of the Space Shot beats it.

I think the anticipation of shooting up is just as bad as going down!!
