Raptor and Windseeker -- Being able to ride

Little bit of background information.. I went to universal studios in the summer of 2010. I was able to ride the B@M's that were there that had the modified seating. At the time my weight was 330-340 lbs. Ever since then i have been working hard to lose some weight. It is now summer of 2011 and i am around 290 !! I am really excited to head to the park and see if I can ride some rides.. The ones that i am most curious about are Raptor and Windseeker. I know if raptor is a go mantis will probably be a go as well.. What do you guys think? With modified seating in the summer of last year it was a go and I have lost about 10% of my body mass in the time between.. Should be okay right?

I think you would be ok on Windseeker. I have no idea on Raptor.

Its hard to make a guess, everyone carries their weight differently, just try the seats outside of the entrance of the rides that provide them. Cedar Point does not have modified seating, that i know of, on any of their coasters.

I dont fit raptor anymore, but fit modified seating. Even when I fit raptor without a problem, it was next to impossible to fit mantis and wicked twister.

good luck

Congrats on your weight loss. It's always great to see someone reach their goal. :) Now keep going and get yourself on MF.

Raptor will mostly depend on chest size, and Windseeker will mostly depend on gut size. Both are tight on me, but I can fit into everything at CP except Wicked Twister (which is odd, because Possessed at Dorney wasn't a problem for me).

All I know is that my maxium weight to get on all the

rides at cedar point is 235 lbs.

I had to do the walk of shame on MF yellow train only to sneek back in line and get on able to ride the blue train. I would stay away from the yellow train.

^^ I'm a solid 270, and as I said, Wicked Twister is the only one I have issues with. Even that I can fit into if I have a friend smash the harness down for me, but it's not worth being that uncomfortable. Every individual carries their weight differently, so it's really hard to judge based on weight alone.

I am 6'3'' and about 270 and I really struggle on Wicked Twister, Raptor I can do for sure no problem, just a tad tight at end of ride when you are breathing harder. TTD and Millinium I can do but I really need to back up in the seat and make sure you have no extra stuff in your pockets, that always helps me. Good luck!

About the most pained I've ever seen anyone is when my 6'4" friend rode Corkscrew with me once. I could feel the shoulder pain over in my seat!

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Congratulations, Cadeus. I should think your experience would be inspirational for more pounds to come (off, that is).

On Windseeker I would be surprised if you couldn't fit.
Congrats on the weight-loss!
