The general email address (dream@gktw.org) goes to Kara, or at least, she's the one who responded when I asked about CFK details.

I was considering doing this. Does everyone who reaches the minimum get to ride? During riding do you just stay on the ride or are there people also participating that switch in and out of your seat? Is there a possibility that I raise the minimum and are then not able to participate because someone raised more than me? It seems like a really cool thing to do for a really good cause. Any extra info or experiences from past years would be much appreciated!

For Cedar Point, the Coasting for Kids page says the top 60 fundraisers will board first, then others can join in as seats become available. Seeing as it's almost 2 weeks away and only 36 are signed up, I'm guessing that won't be an issue (and we know Bryan Edwards won't be marathoning!). Even last year when more than 60 people registered, only about 43 showed up, and a few of them didn't ride much. It seemed like a lot of people would pick a seat and stick with it for a while, but there's enough musical chairs for some variety. Two years ago my friend rode once in every seat.

If you're thinking about participating, I highly encourage you to do so! It's a lot of fun and helps a great organization.

I have noticed that also. As this will be my the 3rd time for me also. The first year I did the every seat thing and played musical seats. But last year I was overall lazy and stuck to my comfy seat.

I have awesome news! The company I work for is matching all donations I receive up to $750 total dollars!

Keep those donations pouring in. These kids deserve it!

That is awesome news, Bryan! I just posted over on coasterbuzz the other day that I was wondering if there was a way to request you guys. I've managed to stay in touch with Ryan via facebook and I've been telling him to talk to management about trying to keep the same Coasting For Kids crew; so I'm sure he's excited about returning. You guys were so much fun! Thanks for trying to keep the crew together! See you guys on the 24th!

Nice! I'll have no problem clearly a grand this time as well, which is sweet. Double what I had last year. I'm more motivated this time since I'll actually show up.

Too bad the forecast is looking so crappy now. :-\ Heat index of 104 and spots of thunderstorms throughout the day. I know the riding is just kind of a 'perk,' but bad weather could mean fewer walk-up donations too. We were spoiled last year!

I raised $555 but I won't be able to drive down to the point tomorrow. I got off work and I have a huge bubble on my tire. Between buying a new tire, the cost of gas and toll roads, I won't have enough money to make the round trip. I feel bad, but I hope GKTW understands.
