Wildwater Kingdom 2011 Pass

This morning I saw a billboard advertising 2011Wildwater Kingdom Passes. That's a good sign, I read on one of the threads someone concerned about WWK for 2011. Of course anything could still happen regardless of them selling passes.

Just based on the hot weather this summer I would think WWK and Soak City did well this year. It was even hot on Memorial Day weekend. I think we visited WWK about 5or 6 times and SC about 9 or 10.

Looks like their season could end in a thud with forcast highs in the 60's this weekend.

It looks like it will be opening up again. Hopefully they will add some more attractions for next summer...

BTW, this thread would probably fit better over at Coasterbuzz.

This topic might get a better response at CoasterBuzz.

I consider WWK a branch office of Cedar Point since it's local at least to us Clevelanders that's why I put it here. Plus, we discuss WWK often especially when talking about Soak City.

Not saying you shouldn't discuss it here, just that the discussion might be more informative and interesting there, as the community at CB is less CP-centric.

I don't visit CB that often. Plus, I figured the people here would be more interested than the good folks in Cheyenne, Wyoming, etc. That's all.

I don't think there are many CB members from the greater Cheyenne area. ;)

I think your post is fine here. Yes, it's not Cedar Point, but I too think of Wildwater Kingdom as a cousin to the park. I haven't been there since they changed it to strictly a water park, but that sounds like good news for next year. Have they started developing any of the old Geauga Lake land yet?

The only thing developing at geauga lake, is weeds.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.

Ha. That is really sad. While that park wasn't a hit, obviously, it did have character and I kind of miss it. That place had such a rough ending, with it's identity crisis, which I believe was it's fatal downfall. I am looking at pics of the water park and it looks nice...is it smaller than Soak City? I can't remember.

It is smaller than Soak City (all 3of them). Willdwater Kingdom has a wavepool, action river, Proslide Tornado, kids area, sports pool, one slide tower (tube/body) and the treehouse thing.

It is a kind of a joke. It is way too small. They need to add another slide complex.

Actually it would fit better here... if it weren't an archived forum. ;)

Geauga lake was selling season passes for the next year, the year they closed. So it means nothing that wildwater is selling them now.

They were only selling Platinum Passes at the end of that season.

I had a great laugh today, when I saw a comment on Wildwater Kingdom's Facebook saying the only good thing at the park is the food! :) I guess someone thinks Cedar Fair's cooking/microwaving is good.

I like Cedar Fair's food. It is far better than Six Flags or Idlewild Park.

I think the majority of the people in this world would disagree with you.:)
