Do I have to worry about bugs on May 15th?

Will all the bugs be around on or around this date? Last year I went early June and it was terrible. Just wondering if they are going to be around this early.

Well, considering it is an open-air environment, yes.

They just installed a huge mosquito net over the whole park in the offseason! Enjoy!

She's not the only one!;) But to answer the question, it's usually around June that the bugs start coming out in force.

You will get eaten alive by bugs, especially on Mantis. :)

They will eat your cheese on a stick, and your top chill sno cone.

they will eat all your $10 Maxair flavored Toft's ice cream.

And your season pass if you don't hang on to it.......:)

They are typically not too bad on opening weekends. Later in May they tend to get really bad. If the weather remains chilly, we should be alright.

That's funny except that you forgot one thing. The construction of such a net would've been visible on the webcam and some people would have come on here and said something about like, "This looks they are putting up mosquito netting. What do you think it's for?" Hee.

True. Then we could say it's in case someone falls out of the new 5000 foot coaster they are building.

Bad news: the bugs have been here for a couple of days now, following all the rain we've had. They're all over my door and windows, and I only live a couple of miles from the Point!

Bring eye protection!
