Are you old enough to remember when....

the causeway/parking fee was fifty cents?

you could purchase individual ride tickets or a red string wristband with a metal clip for all-day rides?

you looked forward to seeing Striker, Cocoa, Misty and Breeze?

you could cool off during the hottest part of the day in the awesome IMAX?

you never missed a couple of trips through the upside down funhouse?

Yes, on the IMAX, I remember SPEED, and flying off the edge of mountains.

No, on the funhouse (It may have been there, but the so called experts I went with made me skip what they thought was stupid)

Yea! I'm young. :) kinda

Those would be some unusual name choices to trains...

Yes, I remember all of those things. My earliest memory of Cedar Point was in 1970 when my mother was pregnant with my brother. I remember trying to buy tickets so she could ride the train, and waiting to get approval from someone before they would let her ride. The Frontier Sky lift, and the train were the only way to get to Frontier Town.

Does anyone remember the Rotor?

I loved theRotor, or the washing machine in the -spin cycle- :)

It was always the second ride I got on right after Demon Drop, it calmed me down, very relaxing, being squished against the wall.

I remember Rotor. Cedar Point's Rotor always had a nicely timed ride cycle, but I went to a Rotor-type ride at a state fair once that had a looooong ride cycle. It made me very queasy.

Do you remember Blue Streak before the lap bars were installed? Remember the old manual brake?

Jumbo Jet. "Berardi's" French Fries. Safari Magic Shop. CP made taffy. The aquarium. The bathhouses. You could drink "Wave Swingers" on the beach, from the Surf Lounge at the Breakers. Belgian Waffles. You needed a pass to get around to the back of the park on Perimeter Road.

I could go on and on.

What I remember about Cedar Point as a kid are those old juice drinks that were shaped like the fruit they tasted like. I remember Jungle Larry's African Safari. The aquarium. Avalanche Run (before they made it into Disaster Transport). They also had the ferris wheel where MF is now, you can actually see it on the Wildcat video on the CP website.

Schwabbachan (or however you spell it) I remember too, that was a good ride, I wish they didn't take it out. My friends and I called it "the dancing lady ride".

Of course we all remember White Water Landing.

I remember the Disaster Transport when it was Avalanche run, Plus the year Demon Drop was built and it seemed to be so scary...before power tower. Also the Rotor! Good times....

I remember when Gemini was the tallest coaster in the park, Cedar Classic Golf and Sky Slide, Jungle Larry, those fruit drinks that were sold in those fruit-shaped containers, staying at Hotel Breakers with no swimming pool, and parking in an area that was named after a ride.

I remember a lot of those things. Oceana was fun and a great attraction for guests who didn't like rides. The aquarium was nice as well and nice way to cool off. The Fun House was a classic so unique to the park. The Sky Wheel was always the last thing we did before the end of the day. The Pirate Ride was very low tech but it was always a must ride.

Jungle Larry's will always be missed but it was their choice to go.

Rememeber when the Blue Streak's line stretched to the main midway. Rememeber the satellites that were next to it {where Calypso is now}.

I remember the double ferris wheel near the park entrance, the Wild Mouse where the Matterhorn is now, I remember before perimiter road, you had to drive through the park to get to the Hotel Breakers, and I remember the train comming all the way up to where the Cedar Point cinema is now...I also remember when you could park in downtown Sandusky and take a ferry over to the point!

Guess I'm old, but I wouldn't trade those memories for anything!

When I first started going to Cedar Point as a kid with my family, I remember a lot of things and they are: the giant slide, Berenstain Bears, the Pirate Ride, Corkscrew w/out its seatbelts, Swabinchen (dont know how to spell it), and the store across from Dragster being the Power Staion before Dragster came around.

Ah, the fruit drinks in the fruit shaped containers. Good times!

I also remember that there used to be a tram in the parking lot to shuttle people from the parking lot to the entrance. If memory serves the "path" for the tram was red concrete, or something like that.
