I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas Sunday. Awesome trip. Rode all the coasters and checked out the construction of Circus, Circus' two Chaos attractions and of course the Las Vegas Ferris Wheel.
Anyway, I went to ride "Speed: The Ride". In line I was talking to one of the ride hosts who also happened to be a coaster fan. I was telling him about The CP and SF:MM story. I then asked him if Speed was considered a roller coaster. He promptly said that the Hotel and Cafe simply refereed to it as the most awesome thrill ride on the strip. And you know he was right. And after I got off I really didn't care if it was a roller coaster or not and it seemed like none of the other riders seemed to care either. I guess (with at least those coaster riders) that quantity really is less important than quality.
Oh, and I got a look at the jumping fountains at Stardust. They actually jump from spout to spout! I can't wait to see Cedar Point's jumping fountains.
