I saw on the Funcoast website that Cedar Villa, a longtime Italian restaurant at the entrance to CP, is going to be demolished. My parents used to take us kids there for dinner when we would go to the Point. We would get pizza, and they would allow us to pick the toppings. Went a few times as an adult. Their homemade lasagna with Mama's sauce was great. Ah well, life moves on.

First dinner I had in Sandusky was at the Cedar Villa with my new bosses. Good, good food.

Hopefully Cedar Fair picks up this empty lot.

If they do, I'm sure they'll put in a place where you can pay an arm and a leg for crappy food.

IS Cedar Villa right at the entrance of the Causeway? Or where is it?

I went to eat at Cedar Villas with my dad before starting my first season at Cedar Point. It's sad to see it go, but the place that should be demolished on Cleveland Rd. is the abandoned Sam Francisco's up by the furniture store.

At first I went to myself OMG there closing Geauga lake, then I saw it was about a food joint. Well if you want something to replace the crappy service.....East of Chicago Pizza still there.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Quite honestly a Hooters would fit in very nicely in this vacant property. Hopefully someone takes notice.

Overrated. I live near the original QS&L, and have had better wings at other local venues.

I would love my Quaker State and Lube. Nothing satisfies my appetite like some 10W-30, well done.

Cedar Villa was the scene of many CP employee dinner outings in the 70's, we all loved to go there. (For fancy-schmancy we'd put on real clothes, get in the car and drive all the way out to the Brown Derby at Milan and rte 2 - it was the boonies back then, no mall, nothin)

And as long as we're making wish lists for the property I'll go with Raising Cane's.

I am surprised that restaurants are not fighting over that land. It must be prime real estate

We used to do the same thing, CP Mac. Go to the Brown Derby for "date night". Blow all that hard earned CP cash on a surf and turf!

Since they are demolishing the old Villa, I would guess somebody has already bought the land and has a plan.

While I live in the town where the original one is, it's not really about the wings anymore. Cause you're right, they suck. They used to be excellent, now I'd rather have a Lube Burger.

The original Lube, if you will, is about the atmosphere and nostalgia. You pay more for the environment....hey that kind of reminds me of somewhere else....
