Historical & Off-season Pics

I love the historical pics located in the gallery. I just wish there were a good amount of off-season pics to see. I have been to a couple sites that have several but I crave more! Anyone got some links or pics?

I agree, CP during the offseason is just something most of us have never seen except for pictures. It would be great to have some more. (especially more pictures of trains-maybe MF....)

yea I would also like to see some off season picks of the park.

I think a snow covered Blue Streak or Mean Streak would be a really nice scene.

I have a really cool pick of magnum covered in snow.its in there 1997 calendar.

Hey I don't have any Pic's but did you ever see the Promo with the Cork Screw one year were it went from Summer to winter? That was cool I thought. :)

where can I see some sites with some pics?

Roller Coaster Punk, I don't think it was a promo video, but a commercial (Although commercials are promotions) late in the year, sometime in the early 90's, late 80's telling people to get to the point before the corkscrew is covered in snow. I don't remember much else from the commercial, but their was a part that show paddlewheel excursions running, and then they flashed to the Lagoon's frozen over. I think they also might have showed the Giant Wheel running, then covered in snow. It was a cool commercial but sad in a way, telling you that the season was ending. CP has kind of lost it's flare for commercials like that.

I remember that. They also showed Gemini covered in snow. Looks like no one has any pics to show us. Maybe CP would let a bunch of us have a big snowball fight throughout the park!;) Maybe not.

BlueKnight, a snowball fight would be pretty cool, but it would be ooler to have play lazer tag, or paintball.

I do admit, it is not that fun going through the park in the off-season (unless they are working on, uh, Millennium Force). It is cool though not seeing anyone walking around.

So thats why its going to take a year to repaint Raptor, Mantis, and Magnum. It is all clear now. :)

I'd like to know how you get into the park in the offseason. Do you know someone in the park that is high up? Just a little question I though i'd ask.

"Someone High" hehe anyways I had to talk to my area manager and the cop at the front gate asked who we were with. We told her that we were employees and she said just to drive right thru!! We parked at HR and walked right thru the marina gate. We got pics of all the trains inculding MF in the breakers parking lot. They even took the seats out of the MF trains. There was a paint truck in front of raptor. Matterhorn was completely gone, the only thing that was left was the frame!!

So you're telling me that all you have to do is work there in the summer and you can easily get in during the offseason? That's pretty cool!!
