Worried for Cedar Point

Its just really hard for me to see the record go away but im kind of worried though. This Magic Mountain and its six flags parks will go on for ever with all there parks. If you notice Magic Mountain will pull people away from Knott's and prolly get 3x as much money. Think about how many parks Cedar Fair owns compared to Six Flags Corp. With all Six Flags parks gaining allotta money more then cedar points 5 parks this will make Six Flags alot stronger. And Believe me the only reason Six Flags did this was To bury Cedar Point. Those 3 coasters where prolly bought by the other six flags parks and not just MM. All my honesty I think Cedar Fair should work on putting other record breakers at there other parks not just cp. Talon will be a great ride but not a record breaker they always save that for cp. I love cp in all but please lets spread the love to the other parks first and beef them up! :)

I think SFMM just did it for most coaster braging rights. We all know that Superman is'nt a coaster though, I meen, even Inatamin says MF is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in North America. SFMM is about quantity, not quality, unlike CP.

Superman is a FREE-FALL coaster. But if SFMM wants to call it a caoster, then DD is a coaster too. That makes it 15 coaster in each park.

Erick, SFMM also has an Intamin first generation Freefall JUST LIKE DD, it is called (get ready for this) Freefall! So what, all shuttle coasters are not coasters, wrong.

Only one problem with calling Demon Drop a coaster; Magic Mountain has a 1st generation Intamin freefall just like it.

CF will not dry up and blow away because of anything Six Flags does. They don't have a big enough shovel to "bury Cedar Point".

LOL!!! No matter how many of these threads are closed, someone starts a new one. Usually as an excuse to start a lot of SFMM bashing. Some people MUST be worried. Cedar Fair and Six Flags run their businesses in complete opposite fashions. Six Flags seems to build now, worry later, while CF often works from a master plan that they DO NOT deviate from. If your patient, with CF you do get a big payoff in the end, and I think you will see that at Knott's in 2002 and CP in 2002-2003. Where as Six Flags will eventually paint themselves into a corner, CF will simply steady themselves into a huge payday. Now this is not a knock on Six Flags, unlike most of you I enjoy their parks for what they are, the BIG, cooperate fastfood of the industry. But they are very different, and if you just strap yourself in and enjoy the ride, you don't have to worry about this other stuff.
