I agree jeff, but people still need to keep on buying stuff. Like I know a lot of people who arent going to buy anything except absolute escentials. But in the economy we have we do have to watch our money but we still need to spend it. I dont know if that makes any sence to anyone. But if the american people stop buying stuff then companies have no revenue and therfore will fall even further.

How can they possibly survive on candles, incense, room sprays, soap and lotion alone?

That should be interesting to watch. Possibly even worth a reality TV show?

I would be hard to survive on escentials alone, but at least they'll smell good doing it.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

One thing I don't understand is why our foreign policy is so focused around Israel. I mean no offense, but what is so great about the place? I was watching the news one day as the candidates were speaking to AIPAC and the newscaster mentioned how getting the Israel lobby's support was "essential to winning the Presidency". She just said this casually and never explained what she meant. I just don't understand why there is this requirement of "unconditional Zionism" to be President.

My mom and daughter were there today. Said Gemini was running 1:45 waits (that's an hour: forty five minutes)!

Glad you cleared that up, I wasn't sure if that was a minute and 45 seconds or 1.45 hours. ;)

The Gemini line extended into the midway beyond Snoopy Bounce. I couldn't believe it.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Yes and no. Film studios did exceptionally well in the Great Depression, but for amusement parks the era was largely a catastrophe. A great many parks didn't survive, and those that did, did by the skin of their teeth.

Loopy, I knew somebody was going to say something about that. ;)

and don't buy stocks like cedar fair.......

if anything....buy basic goods and services stocks.

Until the market hits what everyone will agree is its bottom, than buy stocks and become rich.

Yeah, gold was what you use to hedge against these kinds of drops, not the kind of thing you pick up in the middle of the drop.

Goodbye MrScott

I'm sorry but since one of you can't use the correct version of there, their or they're and the other one can't grasp than and then, I feel pretty confident that neither one of you should be giving financial advice.

And really? Gold? I have a couple bridges for sale I'd like to sell you.

But the Gold Lady on the commercials says it's like the best investment ever. She even has a British accent, so you know she has to be smart. And like, she's wearing all this gold stuff . . . gold earrings, gold bracelets, gold necklaces, gold rings, gold scarf, gold brooch, gold blouse, gold shoes, gold pants, gold bra . . . etc.

That woman is so convincing that I'd sleep with her. Seriously, she could tell me she's 25 and I'd believe it.
