2008 Announcement - What gives?

I dont care who makes the woodie Im just saying I want a smooth woodie with tons of airtime, big drop, head choppers, and nice quick turns. Just like Eltoro.

It is wood. :) The only excess steel in the pre-fab coasters are to connect the sections of track together. Otherwise, it's just a precisely built wood coaster (that rocks).

i don't want new woodie at Cedar point for next year. i really want a steel roller coaster is stand over 500 foot tall i want this coaster put in near demon drop is now stand. cedar point is not going to buit new woodie roller coaster at Cedar point again after Mean steak was buit in 1991.

OMG can anybody make out what he said? The only thing I could make out is he wants a 500ft steel coaster in DD's spot. I dont think it would fit.

Also a bunch of people keep thinking that all wood coasters are rough. The new ones are as nice as the new steel ones. Not all woodies are like Mean Streak.

Then you could have the lift hill go over the building by DD Not Disaster Transport the other one. Then it could have a banked drop over WT and go alond the beach or it could go over the Midway and go back by the water tower. ^^ Your concept is good. But, unlike steel coasters, wood coasters need lots of support under all of the track. So, you can't just go over the midway like that. You could go out to the beach and then behind the rides currently there. It'd still be really tight.

Another plus for the prefab (and yes I know it's not coming) is they're way quiet. So, a prefab at the front of the park would be much nicer for Judy while she's working in the yard. Come on Dick, make your wife happy and put in a prefab because it's quiet. :)

Hey, if they can hop a woodie over a road, anything is possible. :)

I think a mid-sized woodie like Lightning Racer would be a perfect addition to their lineup. I've never been on El Toro, and it looks amazing, but they already have a large woodie (despite the fact that it comes nowhere close to the quality of Toro). Plus, a mid-sized woodie would go with the recent trend of more family-oriented rides.

CP needs a good woodie. But I don't think it is going to happen soon. That 500 footer is gonna go up first. ;)
