Newbie at Cedar Point

Hello Everybody!
I live about a mile from Dorney Park out here in Allentown, PA. I've been a season Pass holder for years, and I'm finally making the 8-9 hour drive out to CedarPoint this weekend. I should arrive for Friday night's festivities, and then stay through the final weekend. Questions: What's open Friday night, and worth hitting then? Obviously MF is a top priority, when's the best time? What else is good to hit? What clothes to wear? Thanks!
Frankly, for someone that's never been to Cedar Point, EVERYTHING is worth hitting. IF you go the whole weekend, I might wait about riding MF until Saturday. That way you can ride some of the smaller rides (I cant believe I'm calling Raptor, Mantis, Magnum, and Mean Streak smaller).
Ride everything you can on Friday, and then bright and early on Saturday, ride MF. But if you can't resist the unbreakable urge of riding MF first, I wouldn't blame you.
It will be COLD right on the peninsula with the wind from the lake and all; I'd recommend a sweatshirt at least. To cover your bets, take a change of clothes (one light, one heavy) and rent a locker!

How far is the walk to the Parking lot? Typically at Dorney, I just walk out to the car for anything that I don't carry. Are the lockers safer out there? (Or the people nicer? :-) ) I've heard of locker thefts here at Dorney...
The weather looks great for the weekend, but as CrystalKat said, it'll be colder because of the water... If it's in the upper 60's, would that lower it to the forties perhaps? Maybe TWO sweatshirts! Steel Force is great. I know nothing compares to MF, but is my Force closer to your Magnum?
Magnum is better than Steel Force... I've ridden SF once...and the first drop sucked... You will most likely like Magnum in the LAST SEAT (ejector seat) than on MF. Because unless you look in a different direction going down the first hill on MF instead of straight ahead, the first drop will be BORING. So do not look straight. Look in a different direction or something. Also, you're going Sunday right?

Anyone, what is the crowd expectancy for Sunday?

Went FULL FORCE 141 times
Conquered the Magnum 2069 times
Kicked the sky 622 times
I might be mistakin', but isnt the ejector seat the 3rd row in the 1st car??? Not the last seat?

-------------
Magnum-Just Ride It!!!
You're not mistakin' eric, the ejector seat is 1-3

-------------
Trim brakes-a necessity???
I thought 5-1 was the ejector seat?
No, 5-1 is the "secret" car on MF that some say gives the most g's and best airtime on the train.

I've never gotten the oppurtunity to ride there myself, unfortunatly.

5-1 is the ejector seat on MF, 1-3 the ejector seat on Magnum. And, having had quite a few rides on both Magnum and Steel Force, I think they compare nicely. SF is smoother, Magnum more intense, both they're both great coasters (IMHO).

the best bet i have found for parking close to a gate is the soak city lot,and to get there,go to the far left toll booth and follow the road all the wayaround the park(great way to see mf before riding too)and then after you go around curve near that big neat looking wodden thing,i think its called mean streak, hehe, you will see sign for soak city and the campground on a small road to the left, if you get there real early, youll be like 30 seconds from the rear entrance ,and get a real good view of magnums first hill by walkin under it
hope this helps ya
we are expecting temperatures to be around 70 this weekend. Even being near the water, it was too hot to wear a sweatshirt today.. will probably be like that on Saturday, but I would definatley have one for the evenings. I am sure it won't be like last weekend... with guests wearing ski masks to keep warm
Anyone expecting large crowds on Sunday? Last year on the last day the crowds were so low, I knocked off almost 80 Magnum rides (or something close to it)!

I'm expecting decent crowds because of the "not-so-seasonal" weather we've been having the last day or two. It may rain though this weekend, but a beautiful day today.
