nothing new?

I assume that since we have not heard anything yet from CP, that there will be no new big attraction next year at the Point? Well if there isn't, I don't really blame them. I would want a year break after spending over 50 million dollars!

Jeff said in an early topic that we won't learn of the new plans untill way into the winter. So I guess we'll all have to keep our chins up thill then! :)

Well, at least it will somewhat lower our Millennium Force and Cedar Point in the winter.
Heck it's not even the off-season, and I'm starting to suffer from the first stages of Cedar Point withdrawal.

I thought they already announced they would be doing improvements to the parks

I'm going through withdrawal too, especially since we talked about MF all last off-season. Even though it hasn't been announced, it looks like they are expanding Camper Village. I hope they add at least a flat ride to the park. Looks like 2002 could be a killer year.

What about those gondolas i heard were in the boneyard and the cables? My friends sister is a silver tag and here is whats coming
2001 Flat ride,Possible Frontier lift
2002 Boardwalk with wild mouse
2003 3 Flat Rides
2004 Well the next big winner

I've got the scoop! I know I'm right because I've heard it from a VERY good source.

2001 - someone will believe a really bad rumor

2002 - an enthusiast will know what's going to happen over the next 5 years because he just so happens to live in the same time zone as Dick Kinzel.

2003 - another poor soul will be duped

2004 - the Magnum finally sinks. Thank goodness they were able to add those temporary 4-year footers this year!

And just because I can see the park from my home office window doesn't mean anything other than a 15 minute drive tonight :)

I'm glad Kinzel went out and spilled his guts to you about his long term plans for the park. They'll probably post them all on the website next week so everyone in the industry will know what their going to do to right? As Jeff says those who know don't talk.

It is very possible that she knew about MF in Dec. of '98, because some of MF's track was on-site in the bone yard. If she saw it, then she would have known that track was there for a new coaster, but how much info she knew about the ride wouldn't be as easy to explain.

Which brings up a frightful notion. If the next coaster for Cedar Point isn't wood, and that's a big "if", the track may be on-site at Cedar Point in 2-3 months.
