Iron Dragon Paint Job

I was wondering when Iron Dragon got it's supports painted yellow?

It looked better with the grey supports in my opinion.

The supports were repainted in 2004. I refer to the new scheme as 'Ronald McDonald colors'. ID looked much nicer before.

^ Ronald McDonald looked good in those colors... untill being healthy came to McDonalds (sort of).

^Not to mention that the trains don't match any more.

I can't remember correctly and I see no pics, but is ID's station painted with yellow too? If not, it must look terrible, since I remember it being red, grey and green...

They didn't repaint the station, did they? Last time I was there, I thought the station was the same colors as it always was. That's why I thought it looked very much out of place with the Dragster-ish track/support colors.

Correct, I don't believe the station has been repainted.

I'm just pointing out that the picture he linked was before ANY paint was sprayed onto ID.

I think they just had a ton of yellow paint left over from Dragster's station and said "Hey, Iron Dragon could use some paint!" :)

I now call it the "Cheddar Cheese Dragon".

I think the new paint job is nasty, I liked the old paint job.

I always wondered why the IRON Dragon didn't have a metallic paint job. Seems like it would fit the ride theme better. Though I must admit that silver roller coasters are pretty ugly... (That's right, Top Gun; you're ugly.)

I really like the new paint wayyyy better than the old.

WHY IN THE WORLD would they want to try to make it look like TTD???????? I mean, of all the color choices, they have to choose that! TTD sits right next to ID and both rides have the "drag" inside their names: iron DRAGon, top thrill DRAGster.

I guess it's a real drag to have them both painted yellow. CP does NOT need another yellow ride ever again!!!!!!!!
