Magnum doesn't have a helix, Corkscrew doesn't have a helix, it has a corkscrew

I think I prefer Wildcat's helix because of the impending doom of hitting the brakes at the end! It's also the best to sit and watch people come into the station and keel over thier lapbar with a look of total suprise....

And what is a corkscrew? It's a helix on its side.

Either Wildcat or CCMR's.

Unless you count ID's pretzel as a helix.

If you wanted to get technical, Corkscrew does have a helix. The proper question would have read "Favorite Double Helix". I think we all know what was meant though.

If the brakes are off, Gemini. If not, then Wildcat.

Natalie:
It just so happens that the full title of Karl Bacon's patent on the Corkscrew coaster is, "Amusement ride with a vehicle track portion following the shape of a helix". That's US Patent #3,889,605 and you can look at it by visiting http://patent.womplex.ibm.com/details?pn=US03889605__ . Or there is a link to it from my somewhat anemic patents page at http://capital2.capital.edu/admin-staff/dalthoff/patents.html

(now aren't you glad the updated CP Place handles links?!)

If you count the pretzel twist on Iron Dragon, then that one hands down. If not, then Raptor.

You've got that corkscrew patent number memorized as well as the Matterhorn patent number, don't you Dave? :)

No, Scott, they're just both available through my web site. The Matterhorn patent is replicated on my page; the Corkscrew patent is linked to the IBM Patent Server. :)
