Anyone know why Geauga Lake and Kings Island are charging $10 for this game while Cedar Point is only charging $5?

I don't know but yesterday at Kings Island they were offering a "special" price of $5. The might be experimenting with different pricing to see what works best.

They had that at GL today also. They said it was an opening weekend special.

I noticed Kings Island does a lot of "specials". But they go away fast. The slingshot was $5 per rider. We came back later on in the day and it went up to $15 per rider. Then, we walked past it the next day and it went up to $20 per rider.

I was in frontiertown the other day and experienced the three point shoot out for the first time. I noticed two things:
1. The frontiertown placement is odd. Nothing like ranchers and cowboys hosting a B-Ball shootout.
2. If I ever hear Rock & Roll Part II again, I'm gonna hurl. Can't they get some other songs?

There's no better way to sucker people in than to advertise "half price". LOL!! Make the sign read $10, and then say "special" of $5 and more people will play. Simple marketing gimmick.

They're charging $10? Last year I played for $5 at GL... I would never pay $10 for that!

I don't know if Cedar Point has the "Choice" prize like Geauga Lkae. Which is a PS3 with DVD's or a Large Flat Panel TV.

I don't know about GL, but I was shocked with how many people were sitting at the tables around the new 3 Point Shoot Out at CP... It's such a crowd draw.

The basketballs for all the three point shootouts are weird to shoot ( well for me anyway) i find it to be a rip off the balls are heavy and then the money ball is light..it really throws you off..but if you win it is great!

Isn't that the point of most "carnival games"? They are rigged in some way - otherwise everyone would win. LOL!!

Cornhole isn't rigged. It's just not that easy. I tossed a couple dozen yesterday and couldn't get my corn in the hole.

Well, cornhole is new and directly accross from the 3-Point shoot out at Geauga Lake. Besides, how often do we really confine threads to just one topic? ;)

Well, that is apparently the new rule. If you don't play by the rule, you get banned - just ask exit.

They keep changing it at Dorney.

Last season it was $5 with a maximum possible score of 15 points and 30 seconds.

For this season, it started out with $5 again, but only 12 points maximum (1 less ball per shot area) and 30 seconds. They just changed it back to 15 points but 40 seconds and changed it where you only have to score 1 basket to get a medium prize instead of getting 4 points.

A perfect score wins a Wii and the high score at the end of the season wins an IPod Nano
