ArrowBatic

This was just a thought. Since Cedar Point wants to keep their Most Coaster record why not buy an ArrowBatic, at least if they can.

An ArrowBatic is an Inverted Mouse, by Arrow. There are none in any other parks to date, but I Arrow has plenty of plans drawn up for them. They look rather fun. They have a family version (no inversions) and an intense version (with a few inversions). I can't remember where I saw the pics at. LL for RCT has an ArrowBatic in it though.

Silver Streak is not a flying coaster. It's a "family" suspended coaster. To my knowledge, there are no ArrowBatic coasters yet, or any that have been announced for 2001. CP won't get one until someone else does...they don't like prototypes

Except Millennium Force.

Millennium Force isn't really a prototype, though. The lift mechanism is new, and it's tall, but the track and trains are NOT -- Intamin had already installed Superman:Ride of Steel at Darien Lake last year.

Right. Agreed. The lift is definitely a first though. I think that makes it a prototype of sorts, don't you?

Now that I think about it Cedar Point does have one ride that was never in another park. It wasn't the first one ever built but it was the first one ever done by this company. It didn't turn out to good. I'll let you guys figure it out, it's an easy one.

I agree with GregLeg1. By prototype, I think of a a ride that has never been built before...i.e. Stealth, Medusa (when it was new), Superman Ultimate Escape (SFO), Inverted coasters when they were new. Yes, CP will probably build the popular ones in time, but not as a prototype. There were some Batman's floating around before Raptor There were plenty of Stand-Up's before Mantis. CP just builds them bigger and better.

Magnum: I assume you are talking about DT. Can you elaborate though because you say that this ride is not in another park but was not the first one built???? Unless, you are referring to the fact that DT is enclosed. If so, you're right, that didn't work out too well.

i think he means DT...there WERE other bobsled-type rides out there. Riverview had the Flying Turns(RIP Riverview) and SFGAM had Rolling Thunder up until oh, 1992 or 93 when it came out to make room for something that was actually FUN. but DT is the only enclosed one i've ever seen...

I see you point net, GregLeg1. The lift system on MF is a prototype though for certain. I suppose just adding a new element doesn't make the ride a prototype. It has to be a new concept. Does S:UE qualify then? There was the Linear Gale in Japan I think which was the same ride minus the twist (I think). Medusa isn't a prototpye either by this criteria. A new train style makes the ride a prototype? Only as much as a new lift system makes MF one. Any thoughts?
