Crowds on Halloweekends

How are the crowds during Halloweekends? I would like to make a trip when I go home for Fall Break, but I am worried that the crowds might get out of hand on the weekend even though it is so late in the season. I don't care about the lines for the haunted houses as much as the rollercoasters? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I should also add that the day I would visit would be on a Saturday not a Friday night or Sunday. *** This post was edited by superdisk on 9/17/2000. ***
I've posted this to others in the past. My experience last year at halloweekends was not too good. I was there the second last day the park was open. It was very crowded. Almost all the main rides were atleast 45 minute waits. It wasn't even a nice day weather wise. It was cold and drizziling most of the day. If you go, I would get there very early. Get on as much as you can early on. But that was last year, you just never know for sure. Good luck!

I have been to Halloweekends for the last three years, usually at the end of September. This has been my experience as far as crowds.

Friday: Very low crowds but not everything is open.

Saturday: Moderate to Heavy crowds, less than Saturdays in August but still pretty busy. However I will say that what with the park open until Midnight, the crowds do die down and the last three to four hours of the evening are very pleasant in terms of crowds.

Sunday: Last year was my only experience with Sunday, and it was a very good experience. Crowds were very light and lines were pretty short all day. Note that the park is only open from noon to 8:00 PM. This year I am planning two Sundays and one Saturday during Halloweekends.

Hope This helps,
