Coaster Colors

In light of even more not-so-nice topics, here's another something for a bit of fun...

If you could change the colors on CP's coasters, what would you do?

1. I don't think Raptor makes any sense green, I'd paint it black with orange and yellow highlights.

2. Magnum, MF, Blue Streak, Gemini, Mine Ride, Mean Streak, Disaster Transport, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, Wildcat are all okay (in my opinion).

3. What's with the colors on Mantis? Guess we already ordered the Banshee paint. I'd repaint Mantis with what are now Raptor's colors: mainly green, with yellow and pink/purple highlights.

So what would you do? I'd also change the lighting on the rides at night to make them stand out more -- Blue Streak has my favorite lights, with Millenium Force/Power Tower a close second.

The ride doesn't have to match the name. For instance, Blue Streak was natural for quite a while. Now, they did eventually paint it blue, but it wasn't that way originally. I think the Mantis colors are the coolest on a coaster I've seen. It really makes the ride look fantastic. While it might make more sense to have Raptor and Mantis switch colors, I like it how it is. If anything, they should paint Iron Dragon. I'd like silver track with green towers and red cars. That would be sweet!

I like all the track colors but I would paint the DT building! Maybe with like ice and snow because of the Alaska theme. I have seen so many people that do not know that the DT building is the home to a ride. If CP painted it people might realize something is in it!

Would it affect the ride? No. Does it matter? No.
C'mon Brett, I just thought it would be an interesting topic. I've always liked the bright colors of CP coasters, no matter what they are - it makes the midway so much more fun. And I'd never thought about that, coast, but you're right -- I wonder how many people just don't know that DT is a ride? The "warehouse" resemblence is certainly there...

CP needs a yellow tracked coaster.

i think they should have painted magnum red :)
Yellow? EEEEWWWWW! LOL!;)
Well, we have partial yellow in Mantis, and I think it looks great... another yellow might be cool... Hmmm... I have a feeling this could start rumours... ahha ;)
Raptor would definitely look great if the track were BLACK... but the bright green makes the coaster pop out ot first time visitors, not to mention making the darn thing look bigger, scarier... Of course, at night, the color doesn't really matter... which is the BEST time to ride. :)
Raptor can't be black. Batman the Ride and all of its clones are black. i have to admit, tho, the first time i saw Raptor and Mantis i had to question the color schemes, but now i couldn't see it any other way...

Ok, before I say anything I just want to say all the colors look great, and I would never change them. With that said, I think ID should be black with white cars, and a black stripe down the side. Would't Raptor look cool in red?:)

Servo, actually the B:TR's are light grey with black supports. At least the one at SFMM is.

I would switch the color schemes on Mantis and Raptor.

NO NO NO, Magnum is ORANGE, ORANGE, ORANGE!!!!! This should also be in the FAQ. WHOEVER put a :) by his comment, because he also knew it was orange.
Magnum honestly *was* red at the beginning though. But let's not start this again.

Wasn't Banshee gonna be like black/white/silver something like that?

No, it was dark orange.

Now Iron Dragon is red, it is 2 years older than Magnum, and it is STILL red and it was made by arrow.

Why would CP want 2 red coasters in a row. Magnum was made in 1989 as a dark orange hyper. It has faded a bit, but it is still orange.
