Has Cedar Point ever put on a 10 K Run?
I was wondering if Cedar Point has ever put on a run like they are doing at PGA? (http://www.coasterbuzz.com/news/news.asp?NewsID=556)
I think it would be cool running through the park. Being a distance runner and all, I know that in long races it can get boring, put at Cedar Point I don't see how that is possible!

YEs, back in the mid 80's I believe in 1984, 85 & 86. CP had a 10k on the last Sunday of Bonus Weekends (CP only had TWO Bonus Weekends at this time). It was intended as a way to build traffic/crowd for the end of the season. The efforts that went into running the event far outweighed any return so the race was ended.
The course was interesting as it went approx. like this: started on boardwalk by the Hotel Breakers went out along the beach through the parking lot all the way to the Chausee Road toll Booth, the runners then came back up the parking lot onto the midway and ran the "loop" through the park out into Camper Village and then ended back at the start point.
