Raptor's End

After the wonderful helix on Raptor, you pull into the brake run. Why is it so rough right there. The train basically whips back up straight. I mean one second your banked, the next straight. Has it always been like that? Also, can they fix it?
I have always noticed that to. I usual lean forward so my head is out of the over the shoulder restraint. It seems to work for me.
Nick, I also do that too. It really helps sustain the intensity! :)

B&M designed the ride and it can not be changed without permission. Yes it has always been like that but maint. deals with the speed of the brakes. I agree it is rough but that is the way they want it
Its even harder now since maitnace tighten the breaks. We got a over speed about 2 weeks ago and it shut the ride down for about a hour. Its fixed now,but when you hit the breaks you stop hard now.

The future is riding on us, because you don't need a ticket to ride!!!!!!!
It's always been that way. That's why I think the brakes on MF (I forget what they are called again) are the wave of the future. MF is flying around the last bank and comes to a very smooth stop.

You don't need to fix what isn't broken.

I suspect that they miscalculated how much speed would bleed off in the second half of the ride, so as a result it finished very quickly as it hits the brake run. It's not rough track, but it is an abrupt transition that gives you a good sense of how fast you're going.

I noticed last time I rode, about two weeks ago, that the midcourse block barely trimmed our speed, and this was on a day where there was barely a breeze, so the thing was flying to begin with. No wonder it is coming in so quickly and (on that day) they were stacking trains.

During MM I noticed that the midcourse trims are grabbing more than before. Also when the wheels grease is cold if your in the back you are almost at a stop before the back has finished that last turn.

It's not as bad if you sit on the left side.
