Animation?

I was watching the animated video clip for MF on Cedar point dot com, and the giant weel is in the video. Was the giant weel originally supposed to stay in the same spot, and not be moved, or was the tech so bad back in 1999, that they couldn't take it out while making this video?

^ Yes there was a glitch in all Linux based systems that did not let the creator of an animation to delete anything created in an artifical enviroment to be deleted if it currently was in place in real life.

While animation today like Mavericks are better than some you see on TV, the point of an animation in CP's case is to get the general idea of the ride and its location. Not to make a virtual ride, video game like, animation out of it.

Basically it wasn't worth the time and effort to get rid of Giant Wheel when it didn't affect the way MF was looked at in the animation.

Lucky for us, Keith over at VIP3D allows parks to get more advanced for a price that must be pretty good for how many parks choose his product.

Gomez,
If the guy who did the animation didn't take the time to draw it in, it wouldn't have needed to be removed. I'm not sure why the extra cost would have lied in having an animation without it, as opposed to one that did have it.

David,
Can you just go ahead and slide a glass on over here. I need a little Captain tonight.

Did you get that from George Thorogood's "I Drink Alone", or did you make that up? Aside from Jose Cuervo, the other two are mentioned in the song, the other one is his good buddy "Wiser."

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

If you wanna see bad animation, then check out the animation for Raptor way back in 1994.

^Got the job done though.

Take a look at the animations for Griffon and Sheikra at Busch Gardens. While they are bad, they in no way put the rides that they're showing in the right scale.

I'd agree with you on that. But what really got me about Griffon wasnt its animation but rather one of the concept art. http://www.buschgardensnews.com/061211_Griffon_Construction_Web/ppages/ppage4.html
