OnPoint not as active as last year

I know why it's not as active, I saw Tyler working at Old Navy in Sandusky on Saturday! ;)

They said in one of their blogs that they can run it from their homes. Also there really is nothing to see now, I'm guessing.

So, I can remote in to my office an work from home, but you don't see me doing that everyday, and when I do, it's just to use one of the applications I don't have available to me at home (mainly MS Visio).

I can access my work e-mails via mobile exchange, but when I'm on vacation, I don't touch it.

Not only do they have a job to do outside of the 'blog, they also have lives.

They could a least do a blog on the Maverick Trains.

You know, since PointCast is kind of an extension of OnPoint, I'll mention this here.

Instead of seeing a lot of OnPoint updates, I would love to see a new PointCast on Maverick construction. I know they said they are working on it, but that was what, almost two weeks ago now? I know they have a lot of other stuff to do, heck, I just stated that in my other post, but, they introduced a new feature that could really take off for them when they announced Maverick, and have just let it sit there and be forgotten. I personally think that PointCast could be just as big, maybe bigger than, OnPoint, and is something they may want to pursue more actively, especially once opening day starts getting closer.

Opening day is always getting closer. ;)

I do agree though, they introduced a great feature (PointCast) and then have pretty much ignored it. Not a great strategy in my mind, but then again, I'm not paid to do this stuff, so maybe I'm missing something.

Just a guess, but I bet Tony and Tyler are busier this year since CP marketing is also handling Geauga Lake, leaving less time for things like OnPoint.

Not me I just noticed that they were not having as many posts as last year. I never asked for more posts (though I would love some more)
While I am on here I will say that I can think of a few things that <i>I</i> would find interesting.
Show a few of the rides that are in storage (I know they did it last year, but show different rides, or even go into more detail on how they are stored)
Give us a few ideas of what happens on a day to day basis there.
Show us what the food stands look like.
Show us what the backstage areas look like.
And more

How long does a blog take? It is not that demanding if you do it once or twice a week.

Well, if the T's are anything like 90% of the rest of us, they don't want to spend one second more than necesssary at work. So if the rest of their job is taking 45 hours a week, I can see why they don't want to take the half hour to put together a decent blog post. I know for me that would be on the low end of the priorities list.

Hey you got a good point there.

The way they write their blogs, it seems to take a considerable amount of time, more often than not. They have relevant pictures of whatever they're covering, which requires some time spent in the park. They have to actually write the blog and publish it. So, it's not like it only takes a few minutes at the end of the day.

Plus, John makes a good point there - even an extra hour at the end of the day can seem like an eternity.
