WWL deserves a tombstone

In the Lost Ride section, or whatever they call it, I didn't see a Tombstone recognizing White Water Landing. I was pretty amazed there wasn't one, considering its huge popularity and the sentiment against closing it. They need to get one...soon.

I too was saddened by the fact that I didn't see one. :(

Although, there was a big open area in one of the beds, maybe it just wasn't ready yet. I know they kept one of the boats...

Yeah, my girlfriend and I were at the park today and they don't have one for it. Come on if woz can have 2 tombstones then WWL deserves at least one... actually i think they should have had skeletons in a crashed log but that's just me

Woz doesn't have two, his wife works at the park as well! I am sure they will get WWL a tombstone!

I was also surprised when I heard this news. Hopefully they will get one up in the near future, WWL is a ride that shouldn't, and won't be forgotten.

I'm not certain, but I think some of the props didn't make it out in time for this weekend. For example, the skeletons of the CP Execs weren't in the flower bed by Park Plaza. I'd look for there to be some more stuff out next weekend.

I noticed them missing too... That would sort of make sense as there were a number of things that seemed as though they weren't there.

Does anyone think Cedar Point may build a similar ride called something around the lines of White Water Landing, making the ride not dead at all? They could give it an entirely new layout with some more up to date props. White Water Returns? 2008...

My wife noticed that the two pigs sitting with the barbie in a birdcage is gone also. It was near the back skyride station.

I liked the UFO, that was a good idea. from afar it really looks like it crashed. OMG they were so slow yesterday (sunday). I rode Dragster three times, and each time I almost got right on it, without a wait in the station. Frontier Town looked like it was May.

I noticed the pigs were missing too...

Wasn't that UFO from Geauga Lake...?

That UFO used to sit on the midway right outside WildCat. The rocks weren't around it like that, as far as I can remember, though. It used to sit under green lights, like some kind of Area 51 scene.

That's just an old umbrella from one of the tables painted silver and given a plywood bottom.

I was there this weekend, and I thought the decor was a little light compared to last year.

Aslo, is it just me, or is the entire gemini and dragster midway void of any decor. The only halloween decorations that I saw in the area was a bus near magnum, a few pumpkins and hay bales, and a blow up grim reaper near gemini.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Aside from Camp Snoopy, yeah there wasn't much, but I don't really recall there being all that much in that region in the past either.

I've always thought September was too early for Halloween events, but that's only me. I'm holding off until closing weekend so that way the leaves change and the weather reflects the season. Plus, by then all of the decorations will be out.

On the topic of sparsely decorated areas, the Dragster and Gemini midways really lack. They are full of concrete so I guess there isn't all that much they can do.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
