Question? I see from this story where 2% of the bed tax goes, how about the other 9 to 11%? Just wondering where all the tax money goes from my hotel bill!

The bed tax breaks down to 2 percent for the county, 6.5 percent for state and local sales tax, and 3 percent to the city or township where the hotel is located. For the most part, the county's 2 percent goes to fund the Sandusky-Erie County Visitors Convention Bureau and to tourism promotion (which includes work on Rt. 250).
