Features steam-era style “trains” and a first hill that drops 105 feet on a 95 degree angle

features three inversions and will shoot riders through a 400-foot dark tunnel at its top speed of 70 mph.

So Im guessing that the reason they started so early is for all the theming involved with this ride? Forgive me if this thread is occuring elsewhere!

Now the next wait, for when this and other sites post official info other than what is in the newspaper.

The ride and it's theming looks great! I will be very excited to ride Maverick. As for people being disappointed with this ride, just wait until you ride it before bashing it. Cedar Point wont let us down. Personally Skyhawk didn't look that impressive to me, but after riding it I have to admit it is one of my favorites and I'm sure after riding Maverick in May, it'll be the same!

The Maverick Logo is pretty darn close to some of the Logos devised on here. That's amazing.

...and what'd I say about Keith McVeen?

btw, I can't tell from the Renders, Lap or Shoulder restraints?

I'm impressed that information leaked many months ago is correct, the name MAVERICK.

Well when there is a trademark application filed for the name "Maverick" to Cedar Fair, it makes it kinda obvious.

Am I missing something? What was the whole "put two and two together" all about from T&T in the past? launch and lift?

Unless I am missing something, "Put 2 and 2 together" was just used as a common saying when being told to take the clues and try to figure it out. Not everything has a hidden meaning.

They told us to do exactly what "putting 2 and 2 together" means...to figure something out from the evidence in front of us. We did exactly that.

The "put two and two together" could be for the launch and lift or it could be for the way the two cars are supposed to "duel" with each other.

I think it will be hard for the ride to sync so perfectly during every ride but, it's seems there should be plenty of time for off season testing to get this "dueling" timed out right.
