Best Park in The World?

Cedar Point Was voted The Best Park in the world by amusement today and I would like to know why? I have Never Visited (hopefully will) and i would like to know what makes Cedar Point the best of its class!

The view of the lake the amazing resorts the just AMAZING atmosphere & of course the friendly guests!

Don't forget the friendly staff. I've never met (and hope I never do) a ride op that wasn't very friendly to me, unlike some other parks. They also take their jobs very seriously, thus making a trip to the Point safe and enjoyable.

You guys took all my answers. I would like to stress the fact that being on the lake makes the park even better than it would be had it been built inland. Something else I found interesting. I met a couple of guys from Florida this past Sat. and they were talking about having to "find" the coasters. I think this is cool. There are so many trees and nice landscaping there that the coasters are almost out of sight in some areas. (they still could use more trees)

A theme park size park with an old time park feel and the history to back it up.

I'd like to add a couple: beautiful resorts and other lodgings right on-site to make your stay that much more comfortable, and a wonderful variety of activities for all ages. CP is well-known for its coasters, but it is much more than just a coaster park! Great policies too, like the parent swap for big rides.

The lack of trees was the one thing that really, really bothered me. I guess it's because I'm used to Kennywood's shade, but still.

Lack of trees? OK, I'll give you the main midway, but consider how large the midways are! I have a shot from Space Spiral on my desktop and it's green as far as the eye can see. K-Wood could take a note from Cedar Point and cover the queues (said as I scratch my red forehead after a day at Kennywood).

I have to agree with the covered queue lines. That's really a nice touch. Also, the misters are great. I don't think they use those at Kennywood. (I did, however, feel bad for the people who literally got drenched from being stuck under one in the Magnum line when it broke down.)

When I spent two days at Cedar Point (July 17-18), I came home with the worst sun burn I'd ever gotten, anywhere. We all noted that it didn't seem to have an abundance of trees.

However, the Frontier Trail/Frontiertown is great. Nothing but trees. Has a lovely feel to it.

The history of 130 years in the making, knowing that you will ALWAYS leave the park with a smile, making friends in line that you've never met before and will probably never meet again(which is about the only sad thing in the park), having "WWWAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUPPPPPPP"ing contests with other guests on the rides and in line....
