Going back and reading the journal entries at the parks main web page has gotten me very excited. To label the new coaster Amazing and unprecidented tells me that this thing is going to be something incredible that possibly no one has ever seen before. Also the comment just before the vertical construction started, "this is only the beginning" is pretty interesting too. I think that this leans toward the theory that future construction on this coaster could be outside of the area that has already been established. Thus making a very LONG layout. One other thing of note is the size of the hill that is already erected. Looking at the workers standing at the bottom of this thing makes me guestimate that it is probably between 50-75 feet high. If that is the case, and this is towards the end of the ride, this thing will have to have some serious height, or possibly a mid-course launch. Let the flaming begin, but I want a topic on your theories...not a lot of bickering.
I wouldn't rule out a midcourse launch.
2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator
Wasn't the "amazing and unprecedented" comment directed at T&T being called into the office to look at the Project 2007 folder? They weren't actually using that to describe the ride I thought.
I think this coaster is just going to be fun. Not some monster thriller. But, I'll love it just the same. It just LOOKS cool!! :)
I believe the "amazing and unprecedented" phrase refers to the fact that they were given full access to the project details, rather than that they were simply meeting with their boss.
Also, you have to separate real life from, umm, "blog life", I suppose. They're trying to make the blog interesting enough to read, so they gave it a cool title. Would you have been as interested in the blog if it were titled "Normal and Mundane"?
