Magnum Pretzel

Did they reprofile the Magnum pretzel a bit for this year? Especially the entrance to it. The trims seem to be in a bit of a different spot and the approach to it feels smoother.

I think they did a couple years ago, but not this year.

They did it after the first season. The track used to dip all the way down to the same level as the pretzel's exit (where the trims are now). If you look at the off season photos:

"Turn-around" 2, 3, 4 and especially "Second tunnel 2", you can see the cross members where the track originally dipped down to on the supports.

Jeff (or someone else real smart like Dan), Why did they remove the dip, was it excessive wear or what?

I believe they took the original turnaround out because it was too rough and intense. That and a ton of other stuff have been changed since Magnum's opening. Not another coaster like it..

No, no ton, just that dip before the pretzel.

Didn't they take the dip out because people kept hitting their heads on the seat in front of them, and kept getting bloody noses?
