Is it just my computer or haven't they updated the webcam since last night?

I've got two ideas why the cam isn't updating...

HOLIDAYS:
Remember, it's X-mas/New Years week. The department in charge of the cam is probably on vacation this week and it's being deglected.

CONSPIRACY THEORY:
Something big is going on (like topping off the lift) and they don't want the world watching.

There is a message on the webcam site that it will return on 1/3/00.

I wonder if they are doing work on MF this week, if so, we should be in for a surprise when it returns on Monday!!

What? I don't a sign that sez its going to be back up. Are you seeing something I don't? Tell me where the sign or message appears.

It appears right in the center of the picture. Try hitting refresh to make sure you are looking at the latest image.

Maybe they are moving the cam to a better location (we can always hope). After the track is down on the lift hill, there is not going to be much to watch from the current angle.

I believe it said that the offices are closed. This means that the web cam is not up because nobody is there to oversee its operation.

we don't have to worry... i'm sure CP won't disappoint us... they have done a great job with the webcam so far and i'm sure they will do whatever it takes to provide us with a good view throughout the winter... just be glad they don't run things like the PKI website, which has had the same "under construction" thing on their webcam page for about a year :)

I emailed them the other day when there was rain on the cam and I got a really nice response from the webmaster. I dont remember exactly what it said but it was really cool.

The webcam now has the following superimposed on the picture:

Happy New Millennium

Cedar Point offices are currently closed.

The WebCam will return January 3, 2000.

I don't think it has anything to do with the web cam being down, but the track is all the way up the lift hill.

I think that they are being selfish and won't let us see it. Who gives a crap about the stinkin' supports?! I wanna see the TRACK! No white things, BLUE things! I wanna see that bad boy go! I wanna see 80 degrees, baby! I've seen 300 feet, but NO TRACK! I want TRACK! They need to show me the TRACK! I want 92 mph and I want it now!

-------------
Someone slap me so I shut my whining 205 foot tall mouth! I want TRACK! BLUE TRACK!

Thank you for riding the Raptor and enjoy your day here at Cedar Point, America's Rockin' Rollercoast!

Just remember that the webcam is a privilege not a promise.

No, but it does bring publicity from word of mouth. How many of you haven't told everyone you know about Millennium Force and to check out the web site? They need to get people revved up about the ride and the web cam plays a good role in doing that.

-------------
Heck I even told people walking down the street. I feel I must spread the good word about the comeing of the Force.

Worry not... you'll get pics from across the bay this weekend, but not from me. I'll post the link in the news section when said party has the pics in place.

I think that the webcam may be experiencing problems and no one is there to fix the problem. Everyone is on vacation untill Jan. 3.

Ready, Clear! Enjoy your ride on Millennium Force.

Hey Body,
I haven't. For the simple reason that none of my friends are coaster enthusiasts. However, I do see your point.
