August 21-23

Millenium Rules!!

Thursday, July 20, 2006 3:42 PM

I am going to Cedar Point on August 21-23 I am going to both Soak City, Cedar Point, and staying at the Breakers Hotel. I have a few question... Do you guys think the lines will be long then? Is Soak City a fun water park? Do you think Soak City will be crowded then? Why is Cedar Point only open until 8 on the 22nd and 23rd? Anyone else going to be there?

It looks like that's when the fall schedule is starting. Kids will be getting back to school. Even with the park closing 2 hours earlier, it should be less crowded.

No, we can't.

Just go have fun and quit worrying about it so much.

The park was only open till 8 the Friday I went in May (we were staying at LHP till Sunday). We still managed to ride a ton and spend a relaxing day wandering the park. We even had time to go back to the cabin and take a short nap to recharge and hit some more rides in the evening. It was pretty much empty all day with minimal waits around the park. The only damper was that the rain and wind kept some things closed.

Not likely, the park closes at 8. The rides close, the ops go home, the cleanup crew does their thing. Its just like any other closing, they aren't going to just let you wander the midways for hours after closing.

The park is open and you can kinda wander around, but there is nothing open after closing time. So sure, you can sit and watch Dragsters last launches, but I'd rather get back to the cabin and get some food and play some euchre.

About the only thing you're missing on days like that are night rides. Other than that, you'll be able to ride anything pretty much as much as you want.
