News: Power outage at CP doesn't affect guests

Why doesn't that surprise me? CP is pobably Ohio Ed's largest customer, so of course they'd have things fixed fast.

That's cool that it got fixed so fast.

I think saying that Ohio Ed "switched some wires" might be a bit of an understatement. When I hear the word "wire" I think of the small wires I run across prototype boards and the wiring in my house... not the giagantic power lines that power some of the state's most power-hungry machines.

It would be very interesting just how much power CP needs on your average day.

CP IS a small town. at least during the summer. You have people living on and off-point, resturants, pools, police, a mayor (Dick Kinzel), and visitors.

It affected at least one guest; me. I could have gotten 5 of my 10 maXair rides in during Joe Cool had it not been for the power outage. Oh well, I still got to 100, and I had a nice, short conversation with Aaron before heading back for 4 rides on Skyhawk.

That's, ummmmmm, pathetic. At least it re-opened and you got to ride it at all.

What's pathetic? I'm just stating what happened. I know at least 3 other guests walked by that were going to ride maXair in the three minutes I was there talking.

I don't think you're using the "get a life" in the right way there.

You basically said it "almost" affected you from getting a even 100 rides on it. It's not like the ride didn't open.

TTD is my favorite ride, but I've ridden it less than any other major ride at the park. I didn't even ride it my last trip and it didn't even bother me. It just gave me another reason to come back.

Anyway, it just really bothers me when someone says "get a life", especially when it doesn't really make sense to use it.

No, I wasn't referring to your ride count, either. I was referring to your bitching about not being able to get 5 of your rides in while the power was out.

I think you were reading my post as my being angry about not being able to ride in the morning. I wasn't, that is the downfall of the internet. I was simply stating that if it weren't for the power outage, surge, whatever you want to call it, I could have gotten in 5 of my ten rides without a wait. Sorry if I came across as angry, but I probably need some sleep, so I'm sure that isn't helping things.
