It's never about time for someone to get hurt on a ride for the sake of tearing it down.

no, i'm saying its about time that somebody got seriously hurt on that ride. I thought it was unsafe/dangerous ride because how rough it is the year it came out.

doesn't sound like a crash to me. just a REALLY rough coaster.

It also sounds like the media is making it a bigger deal then it is. I guess that is their specialty though.

Wonderful... Cedar Fair hasn't even had the park 2 weeks, and look what happens.

Could be that the media is making it more than what it really is - just because of the new ownership.

It is now secret that this is a rough ride. People always complain about neck and back pain after riding that ride. If you do not have great upper body strenght you shouldn't ride; then again even if you do - you'll probably come off w/ a little wiplash.

Sounds like media hype to me. I rode Son of Beast last year, but I don't recall any sort of discomfort from the ride at all. It was a little rough, but not terrible as far as I was concerned. Maybe I'm just strange though.
