Sorry, this is totally off topic, and probably violates website rules....but I am way too excited not to tell everyone. On Friday, I swore into the US Navy and I will ship out on August 9th. I totally understand that this post will be deleted, but I had to tell people.

Gee, Thanks....I posted this just because I was excited, but thanks for the enthusiasm and well wishes. I just hope I'm this excited when my Drill Instructor asks me to get down and give him 50.

You are a brave man. I wish you well over there. And if your superior officers are rough on you, just remember that it is all for your benefit. Thank you for helping our country in this great time in need.

I know I'm just repeating what everyone else has said, but I'll say it anyway. I have the utmost respect for the men and women of our military. Best of luck, God bless and thank you.

Are you going to go to CP once more before you ship off?

Yes, I think I'll go to CP one more time before I go. I want to spend some quality time with my girlfriend, and since CP is one of our favorite places, I'm thinking about proposing. (I also get to use my military discount for $30)

If you propose, it'll cost you a lot more than $30 bucks, in the long run. ;)
