Well, I got back to CP yesterday, and I was among those who ran to MF when the gates opened. When the queue opened, I ended up on the bridge leading to the station. I expected to sit there until 10, cause I didn't know they started MF early. Well, at 9:07, the first train with people lifted out of the station. I was surprised that they ran no test trains. Anyway, they were only running red and yellow in the morning, and I got yellow for my first ride on MF. I was the 8th train out of the station. I rode 3rd car 1st seat, I think. Fantastic ride, got wonderful air over all the hills...met my expectations.
Then I went back to MF around 2:45 and sat at the start of the line so I'd be one of the first 5 people let in when 4:00 rolled around and TTR ended. Good thing, since the line was way past Tenderfoot Pass by the time they opened the queue. I was thinking a 20 min. wait, but it broke down for about 15 minutes. They got it fixed, had all 3 trains running, and I got in very fast. Ended up riding first car second seat on blue, and all I can say is "Damn." That ride was the best ride I'd ever had on any roller coaster, at any time, ever. I can't believe the force of the wind on your body when riding in the front car. Plus, being able to see the whole lift hill on the way up certainly lets you know how high it was. It was running noticably faster in the afternoon than it was when I rode it at 9:15. I didn't touch my seat over any of the hills. How can people say there's no airtime on this coaster?? Just pure speed, force, and power. I got off and I was absolutely stunned. MF is my new #1 for sure. I never expected it to be as good as it really is..and I had high expectations. Wow.
